Pap’s Daily Love
 
This site is dedicated to My Grandfather (Americo Merl Campagna). Every morning around the same time he would pick up the paper to go directly to the “comics” section. Once he got to the “Love is...” cartoon, he would tear it out and get to work creating his masterpieces with his collection of markers. It was a ritual I saw many times. He would take such care and thought on designing the backgrounds and adding color to the little boy and girl. He always added clothes, (as in the original comic, they were naked!) and put in birds. (his sorta trade mark). He’d then give them to his lady friend “Dorothy”for close to 20 years. I was lucky enough to get the collection and started to create my own little tradition of adding them to a website (with my own flare and Thanks to Susan my “Lady Friends” who made the suggestion.) So I dedicate this site to him and will try and add new ones as I can. Enjoy...
